Magical Mechanicals...

Magical Mechanicals...

This week we have gone mechanical and made something magic... Not only does this significantly drop our bike prices, but it gives you some repairability. This is perfect for when you are in the middle of nowhere or you do not want to service them ...

The Market has a lot of alternatives from the super bling, Pauls Klamper to the TRP Spyke and Spyre mechanical brakes. We have our drop bar bikes with BB7, but we can also offer TRP mechanicals.

I have ridden Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes for years. I do like hydralic brakes, however there are certain times when mechanical brakes come into their own ...

Brakes are for stopping. Avid BB7s certainly do that. They have excellent pad adjustments on both sides. Commuting through salty roads is not an environment that you want to have hydralics. Magnesium and or aluminium caliper soon end up pitted with corrosion. Mechanical brakes are the unassuming, never complaining brake that just gets on and stops you in you tracks. And thats all we are asking for...
